Traveling to, around and in Utrecht

The city of Utrecht lies in the very centre of the Netherlands and can be easily reached by car or train. International trains from Germany call at Utrecht Central Station, passengers on international trains from Belgium or France can change for Utrecht in Rotterdam or The Hague.

Amsterdam International airport (Schiphol), which serves all major international carriers, is less than forty kilometers away from Urecht and has a direct train connection which brings you in 32 minutes from Schiphol to Utrecht Central Station. Some low budget carriers fly to the Rotterdam/The Hague airport or to Eindhoven aiport. These airports provide a bus service to the railway stations of Rotterdam or Eindhoven, from which Utrecht can be reached within an hour.

Cities like Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Leiden, Delft and Gouda can be easily reached from Utrecht by train, the journey will take about a half until three quarters of an hour. Trains run frequently in The Netherlands, at least every half hour and ofter even more frequent, but they can be crowded.

The city of Utrecht itself has a good system of public transportation. The conference venue is in the heart of the old centre, it is not advisable to go there by car. Often it will take only a short walk from your hotel to get there, otherwise you should take a bus or a tramway.
